I have been playing piano professionally since 1972. My main interest encompass classic jazz, be-bop, standards and some blues. Have played jazz festivals in Frankfurt, Healdsburg, San Jose, and Sonoma. I am currently work with Vernelle Anders, Lee Charlton, Jim Passarell, Rob Wright, Steve Weber, Yancy Taylor, Geoff White, Elena Welch, Don Olivet, Kendrick Freeman, Michael Brandenburg, Yolanda Nickell, Jess Petty and others.

Main piano influences are Bud Powell, Sonny Clark, Wynton Kelly, Hampton Hawes, Kenny Barron, Red Garland, Tommy Flannagan, Kenny Drew, and Phineas Newborn

Jazz influences that helped formulate my direction include Johnny Griffin, Sonny Stitt, Ken Plourde, Max Hartstein, and Allan Praskin.

I love looking for the not so common jazz compositions. Some of my favorite writers include Freddie Redd, Tadd Dameron, Gigi Gryce, Russ Freeman, Matt Dennis, and Oscar Pettiford.
